Beidh na páistí ag obair sa bhaile fad is atá an scoil dúnta. Seo thíos na rudaí atá le déanamh acu. Beidh thart ar uair a chloig oibre i gceist gach lá scoile.

N.B - Nílimid ag súil go mbeidh na páistí ag obair ar na laethanta saoire (Lá le Pádraig)/ ag an deireadh seachtaine.

• Tionscnamh Staire as Gaeilge ar na hÉigiptigh nó na hAstacaigh. Tá rogha anseo. Pioc ceann de na téamaí (na hÉigiptigh nó na hAstacaigh) agus déan tionscnamh ar an ríomhaire/ar phostaer nó mar leabhar. Úsáid an idirlíon nó ‘Timpeall an Domhain’ chun cabhrú leat.

• Tionscnamh as Béarla - Rogha na bpáistí (tuilleadh sonraí thíos)

• English Novels - Finish Holes (Rang Bhríd amháin) and start new novel (at least 20 mins every day). Please discuss what your child has read that day in order to develop their oral language skills.

• Mata Meabhrach - Triail amháin gach ré lá.

• Scríbhneoireacht dhá uair in aghaidh na seachtaine, meascán do Bhéarla agus Gaeilge (20 nóim). Roghnaigh rud éigin ón liosta thíos. Achoimre ar caibidil, dán a scríobh, clúdach nua don úrscéal a dhéaradh, sliocht a scríobh ar an t-Earrach, scríobhneoireacht cruthaitheach.

• 30 nóiméad TG4 nó Raidió na Gaeltachta dhá uair in aghaidh na seachtaine. Tá sé tábhachtach go gcloiseann na páistí Gaeilge fad is atá siad saor. Molaim GAA Beo/C.L.U.B./Mo Shaol Do Shaol nó Lurgan 2K17 freisin.

• 30 nóiméad aclaíochta gach lá. Tá sé an-tábhachtach go mbíonn na páistí gníomhach gach lá. Tá cúpla smaointe leagtha amach thíos. Tá áiseanna maithe ar fáil ar www.gonoodle.com, 10 ag a 10 ar RTÉ, nó físeanna YouTube. Tá físeanna ar suíomh na scoile freisin.

Below is a list of work for the children to undertake while the school is closed. The children should be working on school work for approximately one hour per day.

N.B. - I do not expect the children to work on their holidays (St. Patrick’s weekend) or at the weekends.

• History project to completed as Gaeilge - Ancient Egyptians/The Aztecs. Choose either the Ancient Egyptians or the Aztecs and create a project on your computer or as a poster or book. Use the internet or ‘Timpeall an Domhain’ to help you.

• English Project - The children can choose a topic they haven’t studied before and create a project based on that topic. The project can be in the form of a Powerpoint, a poster or a book. Some suggestions would be a country, a historical event, an animal, a famous person, a hobby, etc.

• English Novels - Finish Holes (Bríd’s class only) + Begin new novel (at least 20 mins every day)

• Mata Meabhrach - One trial every second day.

• Writing twice per week (20 nóiméad) Choose something from the list below.
Write a chapter summary, write a poem, design a new cover for the novel, write a passage about Spring, Creative writing.

• 30 minutes of TG4 or Radio na Gaeltachta twice a week. It is important that the children keep listening to Irish. Some shows we recommend are Ár Scéal, Mo Shaol Do Shaol, Lurgan 2K17, GAA Beo, C.L.U.B.

• 30 minutes of moderate exercise every day. It is very important the children remain active throughout their time off. If the weather is poor, www.gonoodle.com is a great resource for indoor exercise. RTÉ’s 10@10 is another good resource. Dance routines/yoga/body-weight exercises can be found easily on YouTube. There is also some videos on the school website.
